The Many Rs of Summer!

🌞 Summer Reflections at SILA 🌞

It’s the middle of summer, and what a glorious one it has been! For those who love the heat, it has certainly delivered. My friend captured this beautiful moment while kayaking on Lower Kananaskis Lake at Peter Lougheed Provincial Park in Alberta. This image perfectly embodies summer for many of us—relaxation at its finest. It got me thinking about all the “R” words that resonate with this season of Rest and Relaxation. Some find time to Read, while others Reconnect with friends and family.

What other “R” words have you experienced this summer?

At SILA Skills, we’ve been doing a lot of Reflecting! Since our inception, our goal has been to share DBT-informed skills with as many Canadians as possible. Those of us who started SILA in 2019 have witnessed the transformative effects of these skills in our own lives. They enhance resilience, help manage stress, improve communication, and promote mental wellness. We are living proof that these skills work!

Recently, we Reviewed our message and our audience and realized it was time to expand our focus. In these days of disconnection, it’s crucial to demonstrate how these skills help us connect more effectively with one another. Our commitment to this mission is unwavering.

This led us to Revamp our website!

We dedicated countless hours to Reading and wRiting to clearly showcase how our skills can support individuals and groups in various areas:

- Education

- Parents and Caregivers

- Healthcare Workers

- First Responders

- Community Services Workers

- Businesses

We are thrilled to Reveal our new and improved website to everyone! We hope you will Recognize the value within it and share it with your community.

That’s a lot of “R” words for all of us. Here’s one more…

Remember, these skills work! 💪✨

Wishing you all a summer filled with connection, relaxation, and reflection!
